The last day of May turned into a full infrastructure push across every project: Symfony CVE patches, Dependabot, CI/CD pipelines live, and a round of feature work — Velvet Radio's schedule page, Hollow Press blog polish, Lunar Blood's dark mode, The Velvet Pulse's rate limiting, and Graveyard Jokes' Google Places fallback.
A clean close to May: Hollow Press got a full Projects section with search and filtering, three projects got their Ziggy routing fixed, the Graveyard Jokes social batch for the rest of the month is seeded, and SynthVeil's admin tests are passing.
Noteleks now has a visible spear — the weapon spawns at the character's hand and tracks the projectile through the air. Hollow Press got an RSS feed. And the Graveyard Jokes social dispatcher stopped triple-posting to Facebook.
Noteleks now runs the Spine animated skeleton character in production — on desktop and mobile. Getting there required fixing three separate bugs that had been stacked on top of each other, and then fixing a fourth one on mobile that nobody mentioned until the character was finally visible.
This week Velvet Radio shipped a working audio player and real radio streaming infrastructure — Icecast, Liquidsoap, a live stream deployed to EC2 and verified in production. Lunar Blood got a proper mail system and full test coverage to match.
This week I finally started building Noteleks — a browser game I have had in mind for a while. Most of the work was not adding features. It was tearing down the ones that were holding everything back.
Things went quiet here for a while. Life got full — a loss in the family, day jobs, music in the margins. The studio is still here, the work is intact, and the plan from here is simple: weekly updates, no gaps.
Spring 2026 has been a busy season for Studio. We shipped a blog platform, a live video gallery, an illustration showcase, and finished a major refactor of the Noteleks game engine — all while keeping everything compiling clean across seven projects.
A full April update: skeleton screens and toast notifications for Lunar Blood, related posts for Hollow Press, a 20-file documentation overhaul across all 9 projects, zero-error TypeScript builds portfolio-wide, GA4 audits, and the operational work that keeps everything running.
We've been busy! Graveyard Jokes Studios is now offering specialized Website Design and Website Modernization services alongside our core web development packages. Here's what's new and what we've been working on.
A full roundup of recent work: DesignRush listing, portfolio page rebuild, SEO service card, starter package promo with real PayPal checkout, a Let's Talk bug fix, cross-site analytics, HollowPress upgrades, Noteleks refactoring, and the quieter work of keeping codebases healthy.
I never set out to be a developer. Music was my world. But somewhere between wanting to share my work and wanting to build something that felt mine, I started writing code — and eventually, a studio.
